Integrity

Doing the right thing when no one is looking.  That is the simplified description that the Marines taught me as a young man.  Simple enough though not always easy.  It is most certainly a great way to live.  Doing the right thing is seldom the easy road, but is always the better traveled.

In my opinion being a man of integrity leads to solid charachter.  If you choose to not do what is right and no one finds out who are you cheating?   At a minimum your cheating yourself.

On the other hand, people will see through  your lack of candor, self-serving ways or whatever the case may be.  Sooner or later the truth will be seen.  What good can come from that?  Lacking integrity leads to more negative aspects.  To me, a lack of integrity is a character flaw that equates to being untrustworthy and without honor.  That my freinds is no way to live.

Don’t cheat others or yourself, live with integrity and do the right thing, even when no one is looking.
